Cambions Gone Euro

Hey guys!

I’ve interrupted my celebration —which consists of cake and doing the Snoopy dance in my skivvies in front of my cat who denies any association with me— to bring good news in threes!

I escaped the fiery wrath of Kirkus Reviews for BURNING EMERALD. You can read here. For those who have had your book fall victim to the Eye of Sauron, you can understand that it’s quite a heart-stopping feat. Many souls have perished; many a dignity have shriveled under a single line of a Kirkus Review. Very few survive, which makes victory, no matter how small or brief, all the sweeter.

In other news:  Here’s the German cover of LIVING VIOLET. I think it’s pretty snazzy myself and I can’t wait to see my words in a different language even though I can’t understand a single word of it. I can’t even pronounce the title. VIOLETT WIE DIE NACHT… violet tie-dye nachos?  Huh? (I suck at languages) Please let me know what you guys think in the comment box. The German version will be out in September. Danka!

Also, I’m pleased to announce that The Cambion Chronicles have been sold to Slovakia and the Czech Republic, which according to Google maps, is right next door to Germany, so that’s cool. I’m going global y’all, rocking the eastern bloc like nobody’s business. International travel, espionage and super villains come to mind. Perhaps my dream to be a sexy spy with a cool car and pretty knives will finally come true. The world is full of surprises.

Now if you’ll excuse me I have a celebratory Snoopy dance to commence!

  1. Congratulations!

I'll try to spell the German title out for you o pronounce...

    "Vee-ou-lett vee dee naaht."

(That "nacht" thing is difficult, because I do not think the English language has just the right sound. It is kind of an aspirated k. Confused? Yeah, me too. ^^ )
